Natalia Tkachenko was born in Moldova, part of the former Soviet Union. From
2001 she has lived in America.
Through personal experiences in the three countries where she lived, the
author witnessed and observed the transformations of the world and
societies. Most of those changes were dramatic.
Educated in Russia, she had a successful journalistic career in Moldova for
more than a decade. Now in her new life in America Natalia is reminiscing.
She describes the values her generation had, and how they were transformed
during her life span.

About the author of the book
Natalia Tkachenko was born in the Soviet Union. After high school she
entered Moscow State University faculty of journalism. She successfully
graduated in 1988. For more than 12 years she worked in Moldovan mass media
as a reporter and later public relations specialist for the international
companies in her country.
In 2001, Natalia married an American citizen and moved to Mississippi. USA.
Here she started to overview her past life making comparisons with similar
Russian wives living in America. The book is the result of such two-way
communications. Parallel to her literary work several web sites were created
